Four dogs a day.
Yours is one of them.
Party of 4 is a boutique dog daycare in Vallejo with a hard cap of four dogs — not four per handler, four total. Membership holds your dog's spot every business day, so the morning drop-off is never a question of whether there's room.
Why four
A number small enough to mean something.
Most daycare in the East Bay runs on volume: large rooms, rotating staff, dozens of dogs sorted roughly by size. It works for some dogs. It is not attention, and it isn't what you'd choose if the room were yours to design.
Four is the number where a person can still know each dog — how they greet, when they get tired, which play they enjoy and which they tolerate. It's also the number where a bad afternoon gets noticed in the first minute instead of the last.
Dogs on site, maximumEvery day. Not a target, a cap. When the fourth slot is taken, the day is closed.
Person, all dayThe same handler from drop-off to pickup — no shift change, no new face at 2pm.
Photo updates, dailySent midday and again before pickup, with a line about how the day actually went.
Crates during the dayRest happens on a bed in a quiet room. Crating only if your dog prefers one and you ask for it.
The day
Structured like a good routine, not a schedule of activities.
Dogs settle when the shape of the day is predictable. Here's the shape.
Arrivals
Staggered by fifteen minutes so each dog is greeted alone rather than absorbed into a group. Leash off, water, a slow walk of the yard.
Yard
Open play in the fenced yard, supervised the whole time. We read how the group is going and break things up before anyone gets overwhelmed — a dog who wants out of the game can take the shade and still be part of the morning.
Rest and meals
Quiet indoors. Dogs fed separately, on your schedule, with your food. Medication given as directed and logged.
Enrichment
Scent games, puzzle feeders, short one-to-one work on the manners you're already teaching at home. We'll follow your cues so nothing gets undone here.
Second yard, then wind down
A last stretch outside while the light is good, then paws wiped, coats brushed, and a dog who has had enough of a day to sleep through the evening.
Pickup
A two-hour window, so a late meeting doesn't turn into a scramble. You'll get a two-line report on the day — appetite, energy, anything worth knowing.
Need a 5:30 a.m. drop-off for an early flight, or a pickup after an evening event? Tell us in advance and we will work it out case by case. Overnights can be arranged ahead of time as well, subject to availability and priced separately.
Membership
Four slots. All of them open.
A membership reserves one of the four spots for your dog on every business day of the month, whether or not you use it. That's the point: no booking window, no waitlist on a Tuesday morning, no scramble when a meeting moves.
The membership
One of four,
every business day
About $66 a day across the 21 business days in an average month.
Billed automatically on the first of each month. There is no daily rate, no punch card and no fourth slot kept open for walk-ins.
Apply for a spot- A spot held every business day, used or not
- Drop-off 7:00 to 9:00 a.m., pickup 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
- Two photo updates and a note on the day, sent straight to you
- Feeding, medication and grooming touch-ups included
- First call on holiday and weekend care
- Never more than three other dogs — and always the same three
Extras, billed as used
Extras are billed as used and appear on your monthly invoice. Membership covers every business day the daycare is open; we close on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after, and December 24, 25 and 31, and the rate already accounts for those days. Thirty days' notice to end a membership. Enrollment includes a meet and greet and a trial half day at $75, credited to your first month if you join. Members who commit to a full twelve months pay $1,285 — ask at the meet and greet. Everything above is set out in the membership agreement and waiver, which you can read in full before you apply.
Founding four
We are opening now, and all four spots are available. The first four members keep their opening rate for as long as they stay, through any future increase. Once the fourth is filled, the only way in is the list.
The yard in Vallejo
Fully fenced, shaded most of the day, with soft ground underfoot and water within reach of anywhere a dog decides to lie down. Four dogs is a lot of room per dog.
Fit
Not every dog, and that's deliberate.
With four dogs sharing a yard all day, the group has to work. Every dog meets us first, then spends a trial half day before a membership starts.
If it isn't the right room for your dog, we'll say so plainly and point you somewhere better suited. That's a better outcome than a month of bad afternoons.
Apply for a spot- Six months and older, spayed or neutered by twelve months
- Current on rabies, DHPP and bordetella
- Monthly flea and tick prevention
- Comfortable off-leash around other dogs
- No history of resource guarding or bite incidents
- Meet and greet, then a trial half day at $75
Your host
The same hands, every day.
Party of 4 is owner-run and operated from our home. The person who greets your dog at drop-off is the person watching the yard at noon and handing back the leash at pickup.
There is no rotating staff and no handoff between shifts. Daily photo updates come from the person who took them, and anything worth mentioning about your dog's day is relayed firsthand — not read off a log.
Questions
Before you ask
What happens if I don't use my slot for a week?
Nothing changes and nothing is credited. The membership buys the reservation, not the days — the same way a parking space costs the same in a week you take the train. It's what makes the guarantee possible, and it's why we don't sell days to anyone else.
Do you ever take a dog just for the day?
Not as a rule, and never from someone new. When a member travels, that day is occasionally offered to a dog we already know — a current member's second dog, for instance. There's no published day rate and no slot held open for it, because the group only works when the same four dogs know each other.
Do you take intact dogs or puppies under six months?
Not for daycare. Both change the dynamic of a small standing group in ways that are hard to manage fairly. We're glad to recommend a puppy program and revisit once your dog is older.
Can you take my dog outside those hours?
Often, yes — arranged case by case rather than as a standing option. An early flight, a court date, a dinner that runs long: tell us ahead and we will make it work when we can. Overnights are the same. They need to be booked in advance and are priced separately from the membership, and members get first call on them.
What about holidays and vacations?
We close on nine days a year, listed above, and the rate already accounts for them. Overnight and weekend care is offered to members only, booked in advance and priced separately — ask and we'll tell you what's open.
Where exactly are you?
A private home with a large fenced yard in Vallejo, a few minutes off I-80. Because it's a home rather than a storefront, we send the address once we've read your profile and set a time to meet — it keeps the day quiet for the four dogs who are already here.
How do I tell you we're away, or change something?
Email us at info@partyof4daycare.com for travel notice or anything about your account. For a same-day change, late pickup, feeding note, or anything urgent, text us directly.
How do drop-off and pickup work?
We are open 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Drop-off is staggered between 7:00 and 9:00 in the morning, pickup between 5:00 and 7:00 in the evening. Door-to-door service runs within a fifteen-minute radius of us in Vallejo for $20 each way.
Is there a contract, and what am I signing?
Yes, and you can read every word of it before you commit — it is published at partyof4daycare.com/waiver. One document covers the membership terms, the monthly billing and how to cancel, a liability waiver and assumption of risk, your authority for us to get your dog emergency veterinary care, and how we handle your information. It is written to follow California law and Vallejo’s ordinances, and it cites them so you can check. You sign it online after the meet and greet, and we send you back a countersigned copy.
How do I cancel?
Thirty days’ notice, at any time, and you can do it online in a single step — there is a pre-written cancellation email in the agreement that you just send. You can also reply “cancel” to any invoice, or text us. No calls to sit through, no offers to decline, and we will not ask you to explain.
Are you insured?
Yes — general liability and animal bailee coverage for every dog in our care. We'll share the certificate on request, and we're happy to talk through emergency protocol and the veterinary practice we use.
Enrollment
Four steps, and the first one takes ten minutes.
New clients start with a membership application. We read it, meet you and your dog, and handle everything from there directly — by email, phone or text.
Send the application
Tell us what you need, when you'd like to start, and a little about your dog, using the membership application. It comes to us for review; nothing is confirmed until we reply.
We read it and reply
Within one business day, with the address and a time to come by. Every profile is reviewed before it's approved, because four dogs means the group has to fit — and being early means you help set the tone of it.
Meet, then a trial half day
We send you the address and you both come see the yard. If it feels right, we book a trial half day at $75 with the dogs your dog would actually be spending the day beside. Credited to your first month.
Sign the agreement, and the slot is yours
One document covers the whole arrangement — what a membership includes, the release of liability, and the authority to get your dog to a vet in a hurry. Read and sign the membership agreement and waiver online. Your spot is then held on every business day, the first invoice arrives by email, and autopay takes it from there on the first of each month.

Membership application
Tell us about your dog.
Four spots, and a group that has to work. Send this and we will read it properly — usually the same day, always within one business day. Nothing here is a reservation; it starts the conversation and, if it looks like a fit, a meet and greet.
Your application is in.
We read every one properly, so give us up to one business day. If it looks like a fit, the next note from us has the address and a time to come see the yard.
Something urgent in the meantime? Call (510) 495-0495 or email info@partyof4daycare.com.
All four slots are open.
We are opening now, which means the roster is empty and the first four members shape what this place is. A short application starts it. Sending one does not confirm a spot; we review it and get back to you.
